Premiership clubs are set to drop their pursuit of Sporting Lisbon midfielder Joao Moutinho.
Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been linked with the Portugal international this week.
However, Moutinho signed a new contract with Sporting yesterday through to 2014. His new deal carries a buyout clause of £18 million.
