Everton boss David Moyes is planning a £7 million bid for Reading winger Stephen Hunt and striker Kevin Doyle.

The Daily Star says Doyle, 25, netted 13 goals in his first Premier League season.

New Royals boss Brendan Rodgers said: "There is absolutely no doubt that guys like Kevin Doyle are Premier League players.

"When you come out of the Premier League, especially in the second year of your parachute payments, it becomes very, very difficult to hold on to those players."
