Everton boss Roberto Martinez is keen to maintain good relations with Manchester City.
Martinez is delighted with the success of on-loan City midfielder Gareth Barry, who is likely to sign permanently in June.
The Daily Star Sunday says the Everton manager is now set to return to City to ask for Javi Garcia, who has struggled for a regular starting slot at the Etihad.
