Everton chasing Ipswich fullback Tyrone Mings

Everton are eyeing Ipswich Town fullback Tyrone Mings.

The Mirror says Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy claims they rejected a "big offer" for Mings before the last transfer window closed and want to tie him down to Portman Road on a new contract.

The Toffees' boss Roberto Martinez has had the full-back, also linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Crystal Palace, watched and is following his rapid development.

Mings, 21, won the Championship Player of the Month award for September and Martinez could move for him in January before the competition for his signature hots up.
