Everton are ready to pounce for Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard.

The Daily Mail says Everton are monitoring Maynard as his contract talks drag on.

The 24-year-old has already scored seven goals this season and has flourished in City's revival under new manager Derek McInnes.

But he has still not agreed a new deal at Ashton Gate after being offered one in April and as things stand, he will be available on a free in the summer.
