Everton chasing Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer

Barcelona striker Paco Alcacer is on the radar of Everton.

Don Balon says the 24-year-old is looking for more first-team minutes ahead of next year's World Cup and will have to look elsewhere after his stuttering start to life in Catalonia.

The Spain international has only made nine starts since making his £26million move from Valencia to Barcelona in 2016.

Everton are looking a striker to compete with Sandro Ramirez and believe Alcacer can help them add firepower upfront.

Meanwhile, Ademola Lookman feels ready to see action at Liverpool today.

"I believe in my ability; I know what I can do," said Lookman.

"It's always good to play and enjoy your football and I did that on Thursday, hopefully it showed.

"(The Liverpool game) is out of my control. I can only do what I do on the football pitch. Once I get my opportunity I will take it."
