Everton are chasing Arsenal's Bosman prospect Jack Wilshere.
The Mirror says Wilshere is locked in a contract stand-off at the Emirates, after being offered a new deal which requires him to accept a pay-cut.
Wilshere is eager to remain a Gunner, but has admitted there has been no progress on negotiations which has alerted other clubs.
The Goodison Park club are very keen, and could offer him a better deal than is on the table in north London.
Wilshere is set to become a free agent this summer when his current £110,000-a-week contract expires, and would get a big signing-on fee at the Toffees, and wages higher than the £90,000-a-week Arsenal are currently offering.
