Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has revealed a deal is close for Sheffield United fullback Kyle Naughton.

Kenwright told evertonfc.com: "We agreed a deal on Thursday night with Sheffield for the transfer of Kyle Naughton and we were hopeful that last weekend we could meet the boy and do a medical.

"Things are ongoing, he hasn't had his medical and he's not an Everton player yet."
