Everton captain Phil Neville is convinced Yakubu Aiyegbeni is set to rediscover his scoring touch.
Although Yakubu is yet to find the net so far this season, the Blues' skipper believes the momentum he is starting to regain will trigger his return to his goalscoring best.
"I think Yakubu showed good signs today - and a little bit when he came on against Newcastle," Neville told evertontv.
"I think momentum is a big, big part of Yak's game, and the more 90 minutes he gets under his belt, the better he will be.
"There was that little sharpness, that little glint in his eye today and I said to him at half time I could smell a goal coming. Maybe he could have had one just at the end but it's great to have him back playing. He's had a horrific time with injury but it's good to have him back firing and we're going to need him next week."
