Everton skipper Phil Jagielka was pleased with their cleansheet for yesterday's 0-0 draw with Liverpool.
Only Jordon Ibe's shot, that thundered onto the post, rattled the Everton goal.
It was the Toffees' third consecutive clean sheet and Jagielka expressed his delight at the performance.
"It was a good clean sheet, there wasn't much to do for either goalkeeper and 0-0 was a fair result," he said.
"They have got a lot of pace and we stopped them well.
"We have tightened things up which is a good starting point."
