Everton captain Jagielka: Goodison crowd can play part in Chelsea clash

Everton captain Phil Jagielka says the Goodison Park crowd can roar them to victory over Chelsea.

Jagielka is confident a good performance and raucous home crowd can propel the hosts towards a third home win over their visitors in five attempts.

"We've had some tough games so far but we had that win against Southampton, we've got five points from four games and it's something we can work with." Jagielka said.

"We understand that Chelsea will be a little bit wounded from their start to the season. They obviously lost their last home game, which they've not done for a long time, and they'll be desperate to get a win.

"So it's up to us to make it as difficult a day as possible for Chelsea.

"They aren't on the best run that they've ever been on and we need to capitalise on that, use Goodison to our advantage and hopefully make it a tough afternoon for them."
