Everton are confident of seeing off Arsenal interest in defender Phil Jagielka.

The Liverpool Echo says Everton are unworried by continuing speculation linking Arsenal with a bid for Jagielka.

Various reports have suggested Arsene Wenger will try and boost his defence by signing the England defender, but Everton have already declared the 27-year-old not for sale.

Jagielka is contracted on Merseyside until 2014 after signing a five year extension deal last year, and is happy at the club.
