Everton boss Marco Silva is targeting Chelsea pair Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Michy Batshuayi.
Silva is identifying players to fit into his 4-3-3 system.
The Mirror says he has identified England ace Loftus-Cheek, 22, who played four times at the World Cup, as a potential central midfielder.
Everton also have an interest in Chelsea's Belgium international striker Batshuayi, 24, who was loaned to Borussia Dortmund in January.
Premier League rules state teams are not allowed to take more than one loan from the same club at any time.
Silva now wants to know if either are in Maurizio Sarri's plans with a view to getting one of the stars to Goodison.
