Everton boss Moyes will not sell Vaughan without replacement lined up

Everton boss David Moyes is keeping hold of Celtic target James Vaughan - for now.

The Daily Mail says with Louis Saha injured and Yakubu on loan at Leicester, manager David Moyes desperately needs to bring in another striker before he can contemplate letting Vaughan go.

Crystal Palace, Cardiff and Hull have all put offers down in recent weeks and Celtic's interest may excite Vaughan the most.

However, Everton want around £1.5m and that may draw out negotiations to their benefit.

Vaughan is a committed player but not as prolific as Everton require.
