Everton boss Moyes welcomes first win of season

"With the team I put out, I would have taken that before hand, it was a deserved win in the end for us."

Moyes also acknowledged the contribution of James Vaughan.

"He completely turned the game, made all the difference. The boy has played no football, after training yesterday I felt there was no choice but to take him, although I felt he wasn't ready. He's probably won us the game.

"If we get some new players, hopefully we'll have a good squad, at the moment we have very little to choose from.

"We hadn't played well after the first half, but I thought the second half we improved and to score a couple of goals away from home in the Premier League is not easy."
