Everton boss David Moyes rates his victory over Manchester City among his greatest.
Darron Gibson's first goal for the club - smacked in via a deflection from the edge of the box - sent table-topping Manchester City hurtling towards a 1-0 defeat on a raucous night at Goodison Park.
Moyes told evertonfc.com: "That is probably up with the best of them.
"So it says a lot about the Club and how we always seem to come back and do it - the players did great tonight.
"We might have played smoother football at times [in the past] but against the side we played against tonight, the players deserve a lot of credit. Man City are a terrific team. We had to defend for long periods - especially in the second half - but we limited them to not too many chances. We showed great desire to get the result.""That is as good as it has been at Goodison for a while considering the players we had missing and the team we were up against.
