Everton boss Moyes: Transfer plans continuing

Everton boss Dave Moyes is confident of adding more new signings to his squad before the summer transfer window shuts.

He told evertonfc.com: "We will be trying to improve the squad. Those sort of players are names that we would consider. It would be wrong to say anything is completely done at the moment. We are looking and things have changed slightly for us and we hope to do some business before the end of play.

"The board have been great and trying to come up with money all the time. They want to see Everton improve. If there is money to spend I am certainly going to spend it.

"It is a good squad and a very good team but we had that last year. It has been quite hard to make additions. It has been quite a difficult summer. I am looking forward to the start of the season."

Of his new signings, Moyes added: "The new signings are settling in very well. Leighton Baines is not fit yet and has not been able to join in training at the moment. Steven Pienaar has been back in Germany because there has been a problem sorting out his Visa. In the main we are very happy.

"Steven will be available this weekend but he has missed a couple of games."
