Everton boss David Moyes remained unhappy with Jermaine Beckford, despite his goal in the draw against Chelsea.
The former Leeds star, who is 27 on Thursday, struck an 86th-minute equaliser to heap more misery on Carlo Ancelotti and his lack lustre Champions.
But Moyes is still looking for more awareness from his new signing, who fluffed a couple of opportunities to tee up team-mates for a possible winner.
The Goodison boss moaned: "I want us to be at the top challenging the top teams but when you get those moments it kills you if you don't take them.
"I need to educate him to look for players in better positions.
"He rolls the defender and has two players to pass to but takes a shot. Do you think Drogba would have done that?
"No he would have played someone in and won the game - and that's the difference at this level.
"But he can score goals. He's proved that in other leagues.
"He just might not get as many chances so when he does, he has to take them."
