Everton boss David Moyes admits Tottenham's sacking of Harry Redknapp surprised him.
Moyes revealed that he had been surprised by Redknapp's sacking at Spurs, stating that he would have paid to watch Tottenham last season.
He did, however, express his delight at seeing a number of young, up and coming British managers being given the chance to take over at top Premier League clubs.
He said: "I came back from holiday and found out about Harry and I feel sad for him because I feel he has done a good job.
"I have tried to speak to Harry. I feel for him, I feel as though it has been tough on him.
"It is good to see a lot of young British managers getting opportunities with the big jobs in this country. For many of years we have wanted to see that, and it's great to see Brendan Rodgers, Paul Lambert, Chris Hughton, all getting good jobs. Let's hope that continues."
