Everton boss Moyes settles on Spurs fullback Hutton

Everton boss David Moyes is determined to land Tottenham fullback Alan Hutton in January.

The Daily Mail says Hutton was brought to White Hart Lane from Rangers by former boss Juande Ramos in January 2008 but fell out of favour later that year when Ramos was replaced by Harry Redknapp.

The 24-year-old right-back is behind Vedran Corluka in the pecking order and has largely been used a utility substitute in his eight appearances this term.

Tottenham will be keen to recoup the majority of the money they paid Rangers for Hutton but Everton are unlikely to match the £9million valuation.

Much of what was raised with the summer sale of Joleon Lescott to Manchester City was spent on the likes of Lucas Neill, Johnny Heitinga, Sylvain Distin and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.

"We undoubtedly would like to get some players back from injury and I would like to try and bring in one or two players in January, if I can," Moyes said.
