Everton boss David Moyes says Mikel Arteta is in good spirits, despite his latest setback.

Earlier this week, Everton confirmed that the midfielder had suffered an infection in his knee.

"I have spoken to Mikel and he is fine," added Moyes. "The medical team are going out to Spain to see him and hopefully he will be fit enough to make a return in the New Year."
