Everton boss David Moyes defended Tony Hibbert after their draw with West Ham United.

The Blues had fallen behind to an early Hibbert own goal with the right-back deputising for Phil Jagielka at the heart of the defence.

And Moyes added: "We know he (Hibbert) is going to do the best he can.

"Obviously he gave away the own goal but I thought he did as well as we could have asked him to do."
