Everton boss Moyes rates Neville best ever signing

Everton boss David Moyes rates Phil Neville the best signing of his career.

Neville has just clocked up 600 appearances in the pro game.

"Phil's getting annoyed with me for talking about him and praising him so much, but what you saw against Stoke is what he brings to this club," the Blues boss said.

"There was one moment in the second half (against Stoke City) when he was isolated at the far post and had to jump against Kenwyne Jones, and we all thought 'here we go,' but he used all his experience to win it, and that sums him up.

"I would say in terms of the person he is and the job he was brought in to do, he is the most important signing we have made, alongside Nigel Martyn."
