Everton boss David Moyes says promoted clubs are now in a better position to compete in the Premier League.
For Moyes, the success of Norwich and Swansea - and to a lesser extent QPR - is symptomatic of a narrowing gap between the bottom of the Premier League and the top of the Championship.
He told evertonfc.com: "The teams coming out of the Championship are probably in a better financial condition than some of the teams in the bottom half of the Premier League.
"That allows them to buy a few players in and they also have momentum from winning the league below. So that means the teams coming up aren't necessarily the teams who will go straight back down and we have seen that with Swansea and Norwich."
