Everton boss David Moyes is delighted with the way Joleon Lescott has shaken off his early form slump.
"Everyone knows that Joleon didn't start the season well and his form was not what he wanted it to be by any means," said Moyes.
"He expected better of himself but all credit to him. I've seen his form improve dramatically over the last few months and he's become a really important player again.
"Up until we lost at Portsmouth, we'd been on a good run - and Joleon, like Mikel Arteta, was a big part of making that happen.
"We want the good performances and form to continue."
