Everton boss David Moyes was delighted with Stephen Pienaar's performance for South Africa in their 1-1 draw against Mexico.

Moyes, in his column for The Times, wrote: "It didn't surprise me that Steven Pienaar was South Africa's best offensive player.

"Steven is an icon here and I could tell by his body language that he was carrying a lot of pressure on his shoulders, but he handled it well."
