Everton boss Moyes: No Scholes complaints

Everton boss Dave Moyes was disappointed to lose all three points at home to Manchester United yesterday, but waved away demands that Paul Scholes should have been dismissed late on.

He said: "We felt we were going to get something from the game, I certainly do not believe we deserved to lose all three points. It was hard to take. But it was a momentary lose of concentration at a corner and that was all they needed to score the winner.

"We have tried to take the game to them, to have a go at them and cause them problems. Our keeper did not have many saves to make, mind you I don't recall Van der Sar having many saves to make either.

"Whether they should have had Scholes sent off, I'm not so sure. Yes there was one booking and then another challenge straight afterwards and I suppose that made it look worse.

"There were other challenges like that penalised with bookings, but I find it hard enough to manage without having to referee as well.

"We were disappointed to concede from a set-piece, it is something that should not have happened and we should have been much tighter on Vidic."
