Everton boss David Moyes has assured skipper Phil Neville he won't play long-term at centre-half.

He said: "Considering he is not a centre-half, Phil has been terrific for us.

"He's a credit in the job he tries to do, no matter what it is. He has done really well for us. But I don't envisage him doing a long-term job for us there."
