Everton boss David Moyes admits they were priced out of a deal for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo.

Moyes says he tried to sign the Spain international last week.

"It was not for lack of trying, that's for sure. We negotiated for Negredo, but it did not work. They asked for a lot more money than we offered," revealed Moyes.
