Everton boss Dave Moyes has praised Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson for sticking with manager Gareth Southgate.
"I've been impressed by Middlesbrough," Moyes told evertonfc.com.
"In this league you can win when you're not expecting it, but you can also lose when you're not expecting it.
"I think their performance against Aston Villa last week was very good. They had a good balance to their team and had some threats with (Stewart) Downing and (Jeremie) Aliadiere.
"Middlesbrough seem to have good people there; a good chairman and good directors who have backed Gareth and now you can see his team coming through. You can see a young manager developing in his job and gaining confidence."
