Everton boss Dave Moyes has urged Premiership clubs to show patience with their managers.
"Maybe that is a message to a lot of chairmen out there - give your managers a bit more time and they can produce teams instead of having knee jerk reactions.
"Who knows how far I will take this club. It is something that you can't answer but I hope to keep progressing and I think we have laid down foundations over the years.
"We have not had big money so we have had to do it a different way but I still think ours is the right way. We have brought in young players and matured them, got them on long contracts now and I think they can all see the Club has grown together.
"As long as people are happy with me, I am happy to stick around. But I would never overstay my welcome if they did not want me."
