Everton boss David Moyes admits Manchester City's summer swoop for Jack Rodwell was a surprise.
Everton collected £12m in August for 21-year-old midfield prospect Rodwell, who has gone on to play for England.
Moyes admitted: "I didn't see it coming, but it allowed us to address one or two other things. It allowed me to go and get Kevin Mirallas for example."
