Everton boss Dave Moyes has been impressed by the work of Gareth Southgate at Middlesbrough.

He told evertonfc.com: "I think Gareth has a young team and he's trying to mould that team. The days where they were signing the big stars has probably gone for them but they have a good academy, they build and develop their young players and I think that Gareth has done a great job.

"It's never easy being a manager in the Premier League as many have found in recent weeks and months but I think that Gareth has done a very steady job."
