Everton boss David Moyes is full of respect for Roberto Martinez and the loyalty he's shown to Wigan Athletic.

Martinez's potential move to Aston Villa was big news in the summer but Moyes sees plenty of potential in what the Latics chief has been presiding over at Wigan.

"I think Roberto turned down a big job in the summer, decided to stay and showed a lot of faith in Wigan, his chairman, his club and the players he's got," said Moyes.

"I am always relatively impressed with Wigan, they play good football, he gets them playing in a good style and they are always difficult games."
