Everton boss David Moyes admits he was desperate to beat Chelsea counterpart Guus Hiddink in yesterday's FA Cup final.
"I thought it was important for the Premier League for us to win today," said Moyes. "I don't think any of the managers would have liked Guus Hiddink to come in and take the trophy very quickly.
"You have to work really hard in this league to win anything, so I think the League Managers' Association would have been saying he's come in and won the trophy in what? Three and a half months?
"This is a strong country for football and we take it very seriously, so I wanted to try to beat Guus Hiddink.
"I congratulate him because he's a really good man and a good coach, but I wanted it to be much harder for somebody to come in and take a trophy."
