Everton boss Moyes: Have I changed over nine years? Players say I have

Everton boss David Moyes is eyeing another nine years at Goodison Park.

While proud of his Goodison tenure, he is far from ready to rest on his laurels.

"The job was to try and stabilise the Club and try and get Everton up the league a bit," he told evertonfc.com. "But accepting 40 points is not enough and over the eight or nine years we have been in Europe about four times and we have tried to do better.

"I will always drive myself for more," he added. "I would never accept anything. If I had won the league twice I would say I want to win it three times.

"But I would hope that after nine years things have improved. I would like to think people's perception of Everton has changed a bit."

However, it is not only the Club that has changed but perhaps the man at the helm too.

"People tell me I have changed," Moyes continued. "People tell me I am not as excitable. I hope my desire to win has not changed. The players that have been here a while say to me that I am not as bad as when I first came, but if that is the case then I think I am worse.

"If they think I am maybe a bit easier and not shouting as much then that means maybe they like me a bit and that means I am worse!"
