Everton boss Moyes has faith in crock Anichebe

David Moyes hopes a fully-fit Victor Anichebe will provide Everton with different options in the striker's role. The Nigeria international has struggled with injuries ever since he required surgery on a knee problem in February 2009.

That operation kept the 23 year old out for almost a year and in the last two seasons he has made just 30 appearances, all of which have come from late November onwards.

"Victor has got great potential," the Toffees boss told the Liverpool Echo.

"A lot of people in the USA seeing him for the first time will have said 'Wow, what a player'. We know all about him. He is a very good player.

"He has had a few injuries but if he can get rid of those injuries then he has attributes which you cannot buy.

"He has great strength, great pace, power, athleticism and he took his goal really well."
