Everton boss Moyes happy to see Saha break duck

Everton boss Dave Moyes was delighted to see former Manchester United striker Louis Saha net his first goal for the club in their victory over Fulham.

Moyes said: "Hopefully that goal will help him. Goals bring confidence and hopefully he is off and running now.

"In the last few games I have not been seeing him get into good positions, but when he came on he made an impact.

"Louis will thrive on playing games. He has probably played as many matches in the last few weeks than he had played for the previous six months.

"He has been fine here, he has missed only one days' training since joining us and hopefully knowing he is fit, and the goal, will boost his confidence."

Saha said: "You are always a bit disappointed when you are not in the starting line-up, but I understood the reasons and what the manager had said to me about performances."
