Everton boss David Moyes was delighted with Diniyar Bilyaletdinov's stunning winner in victory over Portsmouth.

The Russian secured three points for the Blues with his superb left-footed strike in the final minute of injury time.

"I thought it was a stunning goal, a stunning goal," Moyes told the media in his post-match press briefing. "It was out of the blue, out of nothing. It was just a top finish.

"I was relieved we got the goal," he continued, "the fans deserved that as they got behind us. I told the players at half time that they needed to be more ruthless because we were playing really well and the style of football was terrific.

"I want to see action from the players. I want to see people diving in at the last minute and getting on the end of things, but I thought we'd been lacking that."
