Everton boss Dave Moyes was delighted for James McFadden after his Scotland heroics, but has warned it matters little in his selection plans.

"As a manager you want players who are on form and coming back from international duty full of confidence," Moyes said.

But in a crowded forward line boasting the £11.25m record signing Aiyegbeni Yakubu opportunities may continue to be limited for the 24 year old, who could make his 100th Everton league appearance today.

"We know he's got ability but the competition for places is tough at a club near the top of the Premier League, and especially so for strikers."
