Everton boss Moyes explains major absences for Norwich draw

Everton boss David Moyes explained the absence of Seamus Coleman for their draw with Norwich City.

He also revealed that Jack Rodwell felt his hamstring during the warm-up and couldn't be risked during the game. The midfielder is also a doubt for Swansea on Wednesday.

"Seamus Coleman had a thigh strain," said Moyes after the game.

"Jack was injured in the warm-up and I got told just as the game was about to kick off that if I needed him he wouldn't be able to go on because he had felt it in the warm up.

"I would think if he felt it today he won't be available for Wednesday night."

Everton's matchday squad didn't feature Apostolos Vellios either but Moyes confirmed injury wasn't a problem for the Greek.

"Tolis, I just decided he looked a little bit below it in training and young Conor McAleny has been the one looking sharper," added Moyes.
