Everton boss David Moyes is looking for commitment from his players in the remainder of the season.
Everton showed great grit in defeat at Manchester United.
"Given our run of games in the last five or six weeks, we might have been one of the teams at the wrong end of the league," Moyes said.
"But the players, they have done really well.
"Not that there is anything surprising in that. They should be at the top end.
"Maybe we are a league or two down from Manchester United in terms of quality, but I would like to think we will show the same toughness in every game we play from now until the end of the season."
