Everton boss Moyes excited about Jo preseason form

Everton boss David Moyes was full of praise for striker Jo after their 2-2 draw with Coventry City.

Jo set up the first goal for Tim Cahill and was the focal point of much of the Toffees' good attacking play.

"I thought Brazilian Jo played really well today," the Blues boss told evertonTV. "He looked a handful and was the pick of the players."

Moyes explained that the game as a whole will benefit Everton's preparations for the new season, but said he wasn't happy with the nature of the two goals his side conceded.

"It was a good workout," he continued. "I was happy with bits of it but obviously the two goals we lost were poor.

"I thought the goals we scored were okay and we opened the game quite well and played well in the first half an hour or so."
