Everton boss Dave Moyes has denied reports that he's made an offer for Valencia midfielder Manuel Fernandes.

"I didn't even know that," he said of the rumours. "Have I? Not that I know of!"

The Blues boss added that while no transfer activity was imminent, he was looking at what players might available.

"Not at the moment," he confirmed to evertonfc.com. "We are actively having a look around, but I think like everybody else, if the right thing was available we would try to do something - but there is no news to give about anybody who looks as though they are on their way in."
