Everton boss Dave Moyes is delighted to have James Vaughan fit and scoring again after their victory over Birmingham City.
"He won't shirk anything, he'll do as much work as he can and battle with the best. He wants it badly and that's something you love to see - people desperate to play. He's a throwback really.
"There won't be too many centre-halves looking forward to playing against James Vaughan when we get him back to where we want. One thing he has in abundance is he's willing to work. Hopefully, we'll keep him injury-free now and get a few matches into him."
Moyes is more than willing to give him the nod. He added: "He's certainly good enough to force his way in.
"He's going to be a good lad for us but it might take a month or so to get the rustiness away. But if he comes on and does what he did today, then great."
Vaughan admitted: "I've just been running on adrenalin this week but I feel fit and fresh and, hopefully, can kick on now.
"It was really enjoyable just to get back on - so to get a goal as well just makes it even better."
