Everton boss David Moyes is delighted with the impact of January signing Nikica Jelavic.
The Croatian has scored three goals in six starts.
Moyes said: "Nikica has given all the players a lift because we have badly needed a different kind of centre-forward for a couple of seasons.
"I think he feels he has something to prove. He's scored goals in Austria and Scotland but this is a step up.
"To be honest he's a bit of a silent assassin really.
"He's quiet, walks round with a smile on his face and it's even surprised me how quickly he has taken to it.
"He has been getting his one or two chances a game and there's a bit of 'ticking over' with him at the moment. I just hope that keeps going."
