Everton boss Dave Moyes is confident keeping Joleon Lescott away from Manchester United and Arsenal.

The defender, a £5m signing from Wolves in 2006, has more than two years to run on his contract but the talks about extending have gone on for months.

Moyes said: "Joleon has two and a half years to go on his contract so we're not desperate about his situation. We'll be speaking again to him over the next month, but it won't be a problem."
