Everton boss Dave Moyes is close to a deal for Fiorentina striker Giampaolo Pazzini.
The Sun says Moyes is close to tying up a six-month loan deal with a view to a permanent signing in the summer.
Pazzini, 24, first caught Moyes' eye when he helped the Italian side dump Everton out of the UEFA Cup last season at the quarter-final stage.
Moyes is desperate for a new striker. Yakubu and James Vaughan are out for the season and Louis Saha has been missing for the past month.
