Everton boss David Moyes was delighted with Victor Anichebe's performance in their draw at Tottenham.

The 24-year-old gave centre-halves Michael Dawson and Steven Caulker a torrid afternoon and, despite not getting on the scoresheet, his all-action display was deservedly recognised with the man of the match award.

"Victor was outstanding, he really was," said Moyes. "His performance merited a goal.

"Victor and Nikica Jelavic both had great chances at the end. Like I said, we were always a threat."
