Everton are planning a bid for Fulham attacker Clint Dempsey.
The Daily Mail says Everton boss David Moyes had scouted Dempsey extensively when he was at New England Revolution but did not have the funds to match Fulham's £2million bid in January 2007.
He asked the USA star to wait until the summer but Dempsey was keen to move to the Barclays Premier League and Revolution agreed to push through the Fulham deal.
Now Moyes is reviving his interest and hopes Dempsey's close friendship with USA team-mate Tim Howard may work in his favour, but he is unlikely to pay more than £5m for the forward.
